What's included in a MICKNICS proposal package?

Accepted Answer

Every proposal package starts at $950 and includes setup and breakdown, a custom "Will You Marry Me" sign, a styled arch with faux florals and candles in your choice of color, and a curated candle arrangement. Popular add-ons include a fresh flower bouquet ($75), chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne toast ($75), a Sweetheart Room Package for hotel/Airbnb décor ($350), vendor sourcing and coordination (starting at $175), and a private dinner for two with a personal chef (starting at $375).

How involved is MICKNICS in planning the proposal?

Accepted Answer

We're as involved as you need us to be. At minimum, we handle full setup and styling so you can focus on the moment. Need more — location scouting, photographer coordination, restaurant reservations, or a full surprise evening from start to finish? We can coordinate all of it, just let us know during your consultation.

Will you keep the proposal a secret?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we maintain full confidentiality on all details, timing, and location, and won't disclose anything to anyone but you. We're not responsible if the surprise is revealed due to circumstances outside our control, such as an early arrival, a third party, or venue staff, but we take every precaution on our end.

Where can proposals be set up?

Accepted Answer

We set up proposals at parks, beaches, rooftops, restaurants, private residences, hotels, Airbnbs, and venues across Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. You're responsible for securing the location and ensuring timely access for setup; any public-space permits are the client's responsibility.

Question 5

What's the payment and booking process for a proposal?

Accepted Answer

A 50% retainer secures your date, with the balance due 7 days before your event. Bookings made within 7 days require full payment upfront plus a 15% rush fee. Bookings made 8-14 days out require full payment upfront with no rush fee. We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance.
