MickNics Event and Rental Contract

Curated Event Styling, Rentals & Experiences

We’re honored to be part of your event and look forward to creating a beautifully curated experience tailored to you.

At MickNics, every detail is intentionally designed to feel elevated, seamless, and memorable. This document outlines our process, expectations, and policies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.



Retainer & Booking

An initial non-refundable retainer of 50% and a signed contract are required to secure your event date.

Your date is not reserved until both the retainer and signed agreement are received.


Payment Terms

Final payment is due as follows:

  • Weddings & Rentals: 14 days prior to the event

  • Picnic Experiences: 7 days prior to the event

Failure to submit final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of services.

Any additional services, rentals, or changes requested after booking will be invoiced separately and must be paid within 4 days of the event date.


Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

The retainer is non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • Requests made 72 hours or more prior to the event:

    Final payment may be applied as a credit toward a new date (within 30 days, based on availability)

  • Requests made within 72 hours of the event:

    All payments made are non-refundable


Contracted Services

This agreement includes only the services outlined in your selected package.

Services cannot be removed once booked. Additional services or rentals may be added and will be billed accordingly.

Any items sourced by MickNics on the client’s behalf may include a procurement and handling fee.


Design & Creative Direction

MickNics maintains full creative control within the agreed design scope.

Inspiration images are used as guidance only and are not guaranteed to be replicated exactly. Each event is styled uniquely to fit the overall vision, environment, and available materials.


Setup Conditions & Access

The client is responsible for ensuring:

  • Timely and clear access to the setup location

  • Adequate space for installation

  • Compliance with venue rules and restrictions

Delays in access or setup may impact final execution and do not qualify for refunds.


Rental Terms & Responsibilities

All rentals provided by MickNics remain the property of MickNics.

  • Rentals are for the agreed-upon event timeframe only

  • Setup and breakdown times will be scheduled in advance

  • Clients and guests may not move, alter, or misuse any setup or décor

The client assumes full responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft of rental items during the event.

Any damaged or missing items will be charged at full replacement cost, along with a $175 damage and loss processing fee applied within 72 hours post-event.


Rental Addendum (For Weddings & Larger Installations)

Rental Period

All rentals are provided for the agreed event timeframe only. Extended use must be approved in advance and may incur additional fees.


Setup & Breakdown

MickNics will coordinate setup and breakdown with the client and/or venue. The client must ensure timely access.


Handling of Rentals

Clients and guests may not move or alter installations or décor.


Damage, Loss, or Theft

The client assumes full responsibility for all rental items from delivery through pickup.


Weather & Environment

MickNics reserves the right to refuse setup in unsafe conditions that may damage inventory.


Candles & Open Flame

Must be approved in advance. Unauthorized use may result in additional fees or removal.


Weather Policy (Outdoor Events)

For outdoor setups, weather conditions must be safe and suitable.

MickNics reserves the right to modify, relocate, or cancel setup due to unsafe weather conditions including but not limited to rain, high winds, or extreme temperatures.

  • No refunds will be issued

  • Rescheduling will be offered based on availability


Overtime & Additional Services

Any services requested outside of the agreed scope—including extended time, redesigns, or additional coordination—will be considered overtime.

Overtime services are billed at $100 per hour and require client approval.


Liability

MickNics is only responsible for services directly provided by MickNics.

MickNics is not liable for:

  • Third-party vendors

  • Venue-related issues

  • Indirect or consequential damages


Indemnification

The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MickNics from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the event, including guest-related incidents.


Force Majeure

MickNics is not responsible for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, illness, or emergencies.

In such cases, MickNics will work with the client to reschedule when possible.


Photo & Media Release

MickNics reserves the right to use photos and videos from the event for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes.

No compensation will be provided for such use.


Client Conduct

MickNics reserves the right to end services if the client or guests engage in unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.

No refunds will be issued in such cases.


Privacy

Client information will be kept private and used solely for business purposes. Clients may opt out of marketing communications at any time.


Picnic Agreement (Quick Booking Terms)

For picnic bookings, the following simplified terms apply:

  • 50% non-refundable retainer required

  • Final payment due 7 days prior

  • 72+ hour rescheduling window (credit only)

  • Weather-based rescheduling available

  • Client responsible for any damage or loss
